Installation of Fish Bomb Boats at the Bihl Haus

We did most of the installation of the Counterpoise yesterday.  The works of the three artists are very different but work well together. Below are some installation photos.

The Magic Vardo arrived

I MADE IT TO SAN ANTONIO!!!!!
Here's the magic vardo set up at the Oak Hills RV park. It's rainy, overcast and cool.  I got very lucky, there received 12inches, yes 12 inches of rain the morning I was traveling.  Off to set up the show.

Below are my neighbors.  It's very pleasant with lots of oak trees for shade.

The Magic Vardo is packed

I packed the Magic Vardo today with my flying machines, dogfood, etc.  I thought they would take up the entire space, but I ended up filling up the over the cab with about 1/3 of the boxes.  The rest went in the back, and I can still see out the back.

I've nervous and have been vaguely nauseous for the past 2 days at the thought of the drive.  I almost feel that I should have rented the enterprise van for a few days.  But that would entail a hotel, and then I'd have to come back for the opening.  And besides, I've spent lots of money and time fixing up the RV for just this.  I'm nervous about hitting a deer driving and breaking down.

The Magic Vardo

After seeing the color, I went down to Ace and asked them to change the color.  We came up with this middle violet that's acceptable. I've finished painting the other half of the RV, now to be referred to as the Magic Vardo.  Going to start thinking about the designs.

RV Art Mobile

So I got back from the KOA, and everything worked fine.  I hooked everything up, got the fridge and stove working.  Made eggs and hashbrowns in the morning. I did have to get a new sewer hose, when I opened up the tank, there was a geyser of pinhole leaks.

I'm starting to get ready for San Antonio and decided to finish painting the RV among all the other things. Not sure of the color. It was supposed to be a light purple. Hmmmm.

RV Art Mobile Test Run

I've gone out to the KOA this weekend to test out the RV with Djinnaya.  I figure that if something went wrong, I'd only be about 5 miles away from Lubbock and could get help.  Mine is the runty RV amidst a forest of high tech ones. These people with 5 little Yorkies gave me lots of tips of how to set up the sewage, water etc.  So although the sewage line fits, it's pretty dry and crusty and short, I'll need at least a 15 foot one. Put a new gasket in the intake water line, but it's still dripping a bit. I think I need to take off the fitting and change out all the gaskets. There are a bunch of little things that need fixed, like cabinets, the gaskets in the shower and the window glazing.   Have eggs in the fridge, some fans going (as it was REALLY cold last night--I needed the sleeping bag. And the heater and hot water heater was the only things I didn't figure out how to light. LOL).

So next will be the big test drive to San Antonio taking down my flying machines to a show.  That's really worrisome, I just want to make sure I get there!!!
